How Have my First Few Weeks Been

My first few weeks have been awesome, I like doing tech every Friday, and doing lots of challenges. For tech I am doing metal we have started to make a name tag. We had to do a crossword and a collage for homework. It has been very fun  in Marama so far.

If I Could go Back to any Time in History

If I Could go back to any time in history I would go to World War II. I would like to go back in time to see what it was like during the war. The experience was really loud. There was lots of people hiding and shooting and loud bangs. The woman could not do that much they only could be a nurse.

What would happen on my best weekend ever

On Saturday we won the lotto and we got  40m dollars. First we would go to Hamilton with all my friends Ella, Elizabeth, Olivia, Stella and Kate and go on the biggest shopping spree ever. I would buy fluffy things, the biggest bear ever. Lots of clothes and shoes. Some new decor for my room that is getting re-done. New bedding, fluffy furniture and lots more. Then for lunch we are going to Starbucks YUMMY!!!!

Now we are going to get me a fluffy puppy and a fluffy kitten. There names will be poof pup and poof cat. We are now gonna choose a bed a bowl and a costume fore them. I got them ghost costumes and fluffy bedding. Now we are going to The Apple Shop. I am getting a Iphone 6s in rose gold, a Chromebook also in rose gold and an apple TV for my room. We just got a message that school was cancelled for the week because they are redoing the classrooms.

We are all going back to my house to have a sleepover. We ate lots of snacks and watched a movie. The next morning we are staring to do my room, the builders have to come in first to build my loft. The next day they finished, the floors are here now. I am getting wooden floors done now. Now its time to paint!! The colour is a light grey. We are letting the paint dry now. We are all going to get lunch now. We went to subway, I got a beef wrap with lots of vegetables, a cookie and a drink.

When we got back it was time to do the second coat of paint. Over night it dried and all my friends went home as well :( The next morning more builders came in to build my pets house for my room. When they finished we started to move in my furniture. My favourite colour is rose gold so I got lots of things that are rose gold. When it was all done it was perfect. I invited my friends back over to see what it looked like.

Tagul

A few days ago we all had to make a tagul. Tagul is a photo editor, you write some words about the photo and it puts it on the picture. We had to take a picture of ourselves if we didn’t have one already. We also had to get 2 people to write something nice about us. I wrote about things I like and my family. I think they all turned out really well! Here is a photo of my tagul!

5 Facts How to grow a strong brain

To grow a strong brain you need to do a lot of things like,
1. Getting sleep is very important because it gives your brain a rest from doing all your learning yesterday.
2. Eating brain food is having a balanced diet so your brain gets everything it needs to work.
3. Taking breaks helps your brain so you don't get that stressed when doing your learning
4. Keeping hydrated. Your brain uses most of the water you drink so it is important you drink lots of water.
5. Failure is when you learn more because you learn from your mistakes so you understand what you got wrong even more.

Pepeha

On Wednesday we did a Pepeha. We had to use the information that we found out like, what mountain we are, river and lots of other things. I drew Mt Paku because we go there sometimes in the holidays, my family and me at the bottom of Mt Paku. Next I drew the sea because I like playing at the beach in the water. Then I drew the school logo and the New Zealand flag.

Tuakana Teina

Tuakana Teina is a thing we have on a wall. We also have Tupu. Teina means you are learning to do the right thing, in the right place, at the right time, and you are not trusted as much as Tuakana. Tupu means you can make the right choices but you don't do it all the time and you are not an expert at lots of things. When you are tupu you work towards Tuakana as well! Tuakana means you do the right thing, in the right place, at the right time, and you are trusted more. When you are Tuakana you can do lots of other things like listen to music, learn in more places than just the set spaces and lots more! I am Tupu because sometimes to do the right thing and other times I don't but I am working towards Tuakana!

The Marama Way

One of my drivers for school is having a growth mindset. If you don't have a growth mindset you will say I can't do it, insted of I can't do it yet! To have a growth mindset you need to eat brain food and have a good night sleep. Not having a growth mindset you will give up and not use the learning powers, but if you do have a growth mindset you will complete more thing and use your learning powers.Image result for growth mindset

One Word

My one word is Being Me because you have to be your self and not someone else when you are doing your at school and not at school.

The Treaty of Waitangi

The Treaty of Waitangi was signed on the 6th of February 1840. The Treaty of Waitangi was an agreement for the Maori and British/English for buying land privately. It was signed at the Bay of Islands and that is where the British boat came in. 39 Maori Chiefs a copy in Maori, 540 signed a copy in English and 50 Maori chiefs signed it on the 6th of February 1840. We don't really call them treaty's anymore. The more modern day treaty would been written on a computer or sometimes handwritten. The treaty in modern day would be like a contract or to apply for a job.

Multiple Intelligence Test

Today the year 7's took a test on a Multiple Intelligence test. I have discovered that I work best outside. I like to work with animals, grow plants and looking after the environment. The one that had the least percentage was Interpersonal. My strengths are Naturalistic (92%), Musical (81%) and Logical-Mathematical (44%).  I will start to work outside more often, with plants and animals.
