Dear Minister of Education,

I am writing to you, trying to persuade you not to take out art out of the school curriculum.

Why? Art should not be taken out because lots of children love doing art and it's a way to express

your creativity and everyone has their own style so most of the time nothing is the exact same.

At the end of the year, we also have to make an art piece to put in the hall so at prizegiving everyone can see it. Everyone uses different materials like:

• Pencils
• Pastels
• Colored Pen
• Paper Mache
• Paint
• Water Colors

There is still many more that I did not list

By taking art out of the school curriculum you are: taking away their way to express their selves

and be creative, the classes won't be as colorful and full of art and it's also really fun to do.

If you took art out of the school curriculum some kids might be afraid to show off their art

because they think its "bad" because they judge their selves too hard. Also if you took it out no

kids would really get better at art unless they do it at home so there would be no more Picassos

and if someone put their art out they could get ignominy because it's not that good and no one wants

that.

Those are my reasons you should not take art out of the school curriculum.

Golden Labrador Becomes Dad To Nine Ducklings

Nine ducklings were found wandering on the grounds of an English Castle without their mother. Fred the dog who is a golden retriever and is also 10 years old became their parent, so they were not just walking around by themselves. Fred lives at Mountfitchet Castle, the staff discovered this last Thursday.

My Leadership Goal

My leadership goal for this year is to be more confident and stepping out of my comfort zone and doing activities with different people and not just my friends. If we have Event Team Leaders this year I would also like to be one so that is my other goal.

How Can I Take The Lead In My Family

I can take the lead by helping out around the house by doing jobs and putting them first. I can also listen to what everyone wants so I can make them all happy and not always doing what I want, because there are somethings that just have to be done even if they are boring jobs.

How Can I Lead With My Friends

I can take the lead by helping them when they need help/support in there work or with anything. Encouraging them to stand out and do something out of their comfort zone. I can also cheer them up when they are unhappy.

I can take the lead in my life by following my dreams, not giving up on them. I can also try to stand out because if everyone was the same it would be very boring and I could also lead my life by helping others and make a good influence on them.

I can take the lead in my learning by sitting by myself and not talking to my friends a lot and concentrating more on my work and not on whats going on around me. I can also start to do extra things like not set blog posts or writing. I can also listen to people who think they know what the best for me so I can achieve more things and work harder.

My Definition Of A Leadership

I think leadership means that you support everyone when they need help make people want to follow their dreams instead of making them want to give up on them. I also think it is always doing the right thing at the right time in the right place and not giving up on yourself either.

Term 2 Week 3

This week on Monday we went to NYLD in Hamilton. NYLD stands for National Young Leaders Day. There were lots of guest speakers like Riley Hathaway, Amanda Wilson and lots more. Riley was my favourite one because she is trying to save the sea because there is way too much plastic in the ocean. She also said that by 2050 there would be more plastic than sealife in the sea. This week we have been focusing on leaders and I really have enjoyed it this week.

If My Pet Had A Super Power

I don't have a pet but my neighbors have a cat that always comes over to our house. So if I had a to choose a superpower for him it would be to be invisible, because he likes to sneak around and then the other cats would not see him so he won't get in fights as much. I would also like him to be able to fly because it would be really funny seeing a cat flying throw the air.

Term 2 Week 1

This week has been quite different and exciting because we have had different break times to normal. I like the new break times because we get to have a break in between our learning. We have started to read a new chapter chat book and its called posted I have really enjoyed it so far. This week we also started tech, this year we have heaps of new things like gardening visual designs and heaps more. I am doing gardening which I am really happy about because I love gardening. I have really enjoyed this week because we are starting new things.
